Motion Capture + Motion Tracking Cinema

This is a real-time cinema’s experiment using the technique of live-capture images and live-editing. This interactive art work includes with three parts: live capture images from webcam triggered by motion tracking, procedural editing and collage of the live images, and computer generated sounds. With the use of motion capture technique, the audience’s body in front of the webcam will be divided into pieces and re-combine with the other audiences’ piece to form a new kind of real-time experience.
This work is inspired by my video work “Disqualified Space” but I am trying to put capture and edited the images in real-time.
《程序化．即時．失格的空間２》
單螢幕互動裝置，立體聲，含MAX/MSP的高速電腦一台，網絡攝錄機，揚聲器，二零零六年三月。
這一單螢幕互動裝置試圖以即時攝取的影片及即時的程式化剪接而形成一套即時的電影。互動裝置以三個模組形成：先以網絡攝錄機攝取經動作追蹤功能啟動的即時影片；然後以自家的程式將影片拆散處理再剪接；最後配以電腦即時製作的音樂形成影片。作品重點在於透過動作追蹤功能的技術，將攝錄觀眾的身體拆散再重組成為新的影片片段，再以反拼貼的方式形成整個作品。此作品是將作者前作「失格的空間」的實驗影片重新製作以影成一個即時及互動形式的版本。
