Three identical characters (A – B – C) have small joke and conflict to each others.

A – B (both in the mirror), A is watching magazine but B suddenly grab it for fun.
A can not help it and read the other magazine.
B – C (B in the mirror and C in front of the mirror), B feels C is too happy with make
up herself. B rolls the magazine up and flow it to the mirror in order to scare C.
A – B – C are surprise with the action of the flowing magazine. C turn back to
watch A and B, A and B laughing in the same time. End Much Thanks to Suki!!!

This is a visual ethnography research video finding some visual and audio footage in the different age group of people especially born in 1980s teenagers. The target group in the clip is people in School of Creative Media of Hong Kong. Using a topic question about the concept of Japanese cartoon “Doraemon” or “Ding Dong”, we are trying to find out the development of Doraemon in Hong Kong, and viewing the behavior and performance of the interviewee in the same time. From different interviewee, we can see the different generation people’s understanding about the content and the information of the Doraemon.

Situation: Many Students and many Staffs are going behind the camera and give facial response to interviewees. And some people will come and hear the interviewees’ singing.

With eight different people, different behaviors can be discovered while they are facing the camera. The first two questions are trying to make interviewees relax and giving possible space and time to let them face the camera. However, at the last question, a dramatic question is making the interviewees’ a giving a different experience and acting to the audience, these other kind of information gives audience about what the other interviewees’ characteristics.

The follow up this work could be concentrate on their performance and representational skills, as well as making a more comparable interview with more variety of interviewees outside school.

This is a television commercial project from creative brief, research, story board, and shooting and directing. The commercial tries to promote a new chocolate flavor of Vita Soya to the public. There are two versions to sell, one is “Tasty drink to make you feel Faint” and the other one is “Tasty drink to make you feel Crazy and High”

The concept of “Cubic SoundImage” is from the cubism theory in painting. The video is trying to simulate the cubism from the shooting. Two cameras are in use to shoot the 45 degree angle of a person in the same time to form a different single perspective of viewing. Sound is important to the video, and becoming a main role to lead the flow of the space. With the fabrication of non-existing sounds and noises, combining with the non-normal viewing experience, a character orientation journey is created. Audiences are surprising with the individual scenes and soundscapes from the all unexpected angles.

《立體聲．畫》
彩色影片，全長五分五十七秒，立體聲，二零零五年十月。

影片嘗試將油畫裡面的立體主義放入短片拍攝當中，影片以兩個攝錄機以兩邊四十五度同時拍攝，以分割畫面的形式將要拍攝的人物重現新的觀賞角度。事實上，聲音及背景音效的細節也是領導空間發展的一個重要元素，以不存在的聲音及嘈音並結合非正常的觀賞體驗，互相交織而形成一個以主角為中心的聲音旅程，觀眾在不同的聲音及場景的互動中感到吃驚。

There are three different timelines playing in the same space: three men at the left are happening in the normal speed but blurred; the actions of the middle people are looping in various speeds; and at the left there is a rewind play of a man eating an increasing ice-cream.

The concept of “Chaos” is trying to force audience to discover different focus, characters and actions in the same time even in a faked one single long shot. This experimentation is challenging with temporal and spatial scaling, and multiplicity of time and space to the audience. Audience could have new mode of reception from developing its own interpretation. It is a visualization of Theory of Time Image from Deleuze and makes use of tableaux vivants from Roland Barthes as semiosis.

《混沌》

這是一個挑戰傳統觀眾的觀看電影經驗的實驗影片，試圖強逼觀眾成為主動的觀察者，同時在一個畫面上以多個重點、角色、及動作去閱讀影片的發展及其結構。作者在同一個空間內同時呈現三條不同的時間故事：左面是正常時間但慢快門拍攝；中間的部分則以不同的速度循環播放；而右面的男孩則是倒鏡播放，男孩手上的冰淇淋在慢慢增加。作者嘗試以德勒茲的「時間影片」理論及羅蘭巴特的「活人畫」理論表現在這影片，以實驗時間跟空間不同組合的可能性。

Instead of using many different shots to present a story, the concept of “Memory Ring” is trying to present different lines of story in one single long shot. By using the characteristic of the location, different scenes and plots are presented individual in the same space but remain in relation. The setting of the scenes and acting dominates the use of editing. Audience will find different tiny plots in each of the divided space. The beginning of the characters seems telling audience about his story but the similar dialogue appeared in the last make the story like forever endless. It provides a kind of continualness story in the “Ring”.

《記憶．環》
彩色影片，全長六分十五秒，立體聲，二零零五年四月。

本作品以一刀不剪的長鏡頭去表現作者的童年故事。作者試圖運用拍攝場地的特徵，將同一個空間及時間的畫面拆解成八個不同的小故事，以各個不同的小片段構造出作者對自身的童年回憶重新呈現，並透過開首及結尾相近但不同的對白將各個小故事的片段連接及延伸下去，重新做出一個層層相扣的「我在寫一個故事有關我寫的童年烏托邦」。在這條片子裡，你會發現時間，空間，主人及主要角色互相扣住，但人物的性格及關係反而成為了影片重要的元素。

Décollage: instead of an image it is created by cutting, tearing away or otherwise removing, pieces of an original image. Using the edition of Frame by Frame, trying to create an impossible space with the rhythm-liked image and sound. This experience tries creating an impossible space experience with daily background and some actor pieces; tries using one single dialogue and edit frame-by-frame to create rhythm; tries putting family members as fantasy elements. Time and space is more like a characters than person. People seem independent to the reality. Video tries redefining new space and new time from our everyday life.

《失格的空間》
彩色影片，全長二分零四秒，立體聲，二零零五年四月。

本作品概念來自一藝術方式──反拼貼。作者試圖以一句單一的對白，透過不同的人，不同的動作，剪接出一條以影格為基礎而剪成的實驗性質短片，以反拼貼的方式抽走畫面中聲音或是影像，背景是一拼貼出來的圍牆，時間是線性而行，然而再在背景上加上演員的動作，重新做出一個不可能存在的空間及時間。在這條片子裡，你會發現時間和空間成為了主人及主要角色，相反，那些不專業的演員（作者的家人）反而成為了配角的元素。
